As Marketing Executive at Collett & Sons, I took full ownership of the company’s WordPress website – managing everything from content updates and keyword optimisation to technical troubleshooting and performance monitoring.
The website needed better search visibility in a niche B2B industry. Organic traffic was underperforming and the site wasn’t ranking well for key industry terms.
I conducted a full SEO audit using Ahrefs and SEMrush, then implemented a systematic optimisation plan:
On-Page SEO: Optimised meta titles, descriptions, heading structure, image alt text, and internal links across all key pages using Yoast SEO.
Content Strategy: Wrote and published regular web blogs and news articles aligned with industry search intent, building topical authority in heavy haulage, renewables, and project logistics.
Technical SEO: Fixed crawl errors, improved page speed, resolved broken links, and ensured mobile responsiveness.
Monitoring: Tracked rankings, organic sessions, and user behaviour in GA4, producing periodic reports for senior management.
Results: Organic traffic increased by 30%. Click-through rate improved by 18%. Targeted keyword rankings improved by 20% within six months.
